MISSION POSSIBLE

Well I'll tell ya one thing, life sure has a way of catching you off your guard! Here i was, srutt'n my stuff with my head held high with my life all planned out and set up before me when BAM! i run headfirst into a door labeled ALLISON'S MISSION aka The big intimidating/life changing/gonna rock your world door that you could have sworn was further away. Not gonna lie, it took some time to recover and recuperate from such a collision. I swear this door had legs it hit me so hard. But after some time i finally started to see clearly. I found myself feeling not so good about school, thinking of all the good i could do dedicating 18 months of my life to serving others, and even day dreaming about name tags and over the knee length skirts! 3 weeks ago i probably would have slapped myself silly if I caught myself saying this but.....Mission Accepted!
That's right! You're looking at talking to reading the blog of a future sister missionary! My teeth have already been poked and prodded at  in the process of going down the checklist of the mission papers[OK now, you may feel a little pressure as i stick this 2" long nail into your mouth. Op! Are you choking on your own saliva? Whoops! Did i just make your mouth feel like a minty piece of chalk?] and if i time this sucker right i should getting my mission assignment in December!
Just think of this as a mormonized feel good version of Mission: Impossible.Instead of shooting out bullets I'll be shooting out Book of Mormons. Instead of stealthily repelling down a long shaft to steal top secret government data i will furtively descend and pounce on those who have lost their way to steal away their woes. Instead of single handily scaling a 100 story building i will climb by way up, through blood, sweat, tears, and many awkward moments (because i seem to be a human magnet for such things) to the top of my personal 18,000,000,000 foot high Mt. Mission and declare it to be one of the best decisions Ive ever made! I know without a doubt this what i need to do, and i am so excited to become a tool in the Lord's hands and to forget myself and go to work!

AN ASTRONAUT AND AN AGGIE

Today two new feats have been made. Firstly, an astronaut with too much gumption for his britches jumped from outer space and free-falled down to Earth at a whopping 833 mph [for all you non-smarty pants out there that's faster than the speed of sound] At 24 miles into space this little daredevil broke the record for the world's highest skydive as well as the highest man balloon flight. Pretty impressive, huh? But that ain't nothing compared to what I'm about to tell you next. Today not only has a man performed a supersonic skydive from the stratosphere, but a girl, this girl in fact, has just been accepted to Utah State University and is now officially an AGGIE!! (cue explosion sound affects) When i opened my letter and saw that Congratulations! the "i just woke up up" crust from my eyes shot out like fireworks. Guys, there is only one thing better than getting a letter in the mail and that is....getting a letter in the mail that begins with Congratulations. As i ran around the kitchen with my I'M IN! sign held above my head screaming out I'M AN AGGIE! [as instructed] i even dare to compare my level of exhilartion to the skydiving astronaut. Eh, what can i say? Some people set there goals for the stars, while others set there goals for Logan, Utah.
